A day full of relaxation and being pampered. Could anything sound more perfect? No. Definitely not. If you know me you’ll already know how obsessed I am of spa days. Switching off for a whole day, putting your feet up, and forgetting about the world outside. Ahh it just sounds magical. Doesn’t it?
I was super duper lucky to be invited for a spa day at Elmers Court in Hampshire a few weeks ago. Of course I jumped right out of my seat when I got the invite! I was over the moon. The spa day included an hour treatment which was their new Biotec facial (how sciency does that sound) a 2 course meal, and full use of the spa facilities. My lovely nan came along with me.
I had heard about the Biotec facial before although I wasn’t 100% sure what it was all about. I’ll give you a little more information..
‘There are seven new Biotech facials to choose from – Anti-Wrinkle, Firming, Resurfacing, Radiance, Blemish Control, Sensitive Skin and a Mens facial.
Each uses a specific cocktail of concentrated serums, plus a new 5-in-1 facial machine that offers a combination of ultrasonic, micro-current, oxygen and light therapy to lift, smooth, brighten or purify your skin, depending on your complexion needs.
I opted for the Radiance facial because I wanted my skin to have more of a glow. This treatment also targets stress and dull skin which definitely sums me up. I didn’t want to go for any of the anti aging facials as I don’t think I have that quite to worry about, yet!
It didn’t even feel like I was led there for an hour because I enjoyed it so much. I was super relaxed throughout the whole treatment, I think I was even starting to fall asleep at one point. My face definitely felt extremely rejuvenated and fresh after. It felt like a baby’s bum. My redness had also cleared up too which is something I get quite conscious about.
Holly definitely did an amazing job and I cannot recommend this facial enough. If you’re dying for your skin to look more awake then this is for you. I also love how at the end of the treatment you’re given a booklet full of all the Elemis products and have ticks next to the products that were used on your skin. This is a little summery of what happens during the treatment…
‘The ultrasonic peel pumps vibrational energy into the skin to exfoliate and stimulate the removal of impurities and dead skin cells, whilst the galvanic rejuvenating current harnesses the power of Elderberry and Orange flower extracts to restore moisture and vitality.’
After the treatment, it was time for lunch. Which of course calls for a glass of bubbly! I’m quite a fussy eater, so I was quite worried what the spa package included when it came to food, BUT we had the choice of pretty much the whole menu. I was happy. I opted for the Fish and Chips, and my Nan went for the Ham, Egg and chips. The portions were great too. We also got choice of dessert, I went for the profiteroles. Boy oh boy were they yummy. I couldn’t quite eat the last one but we sure had happy tummys.
I wasn’t able to get any pictures of the swimming pool and sauna/steam rooms. I was of course too busy enjoying myself! I also feel that on days like this, you don’t need to constantly be on your phone, so i do love having a break. I also believe that the spa is decorated beautifully. As you go past the spa reception and through a set of doors, you are greeted with a dark walkway which had lovely little lanterns placed at the sides of the walls. I have never seen anything like this at other spas i have been to, so it sure does make Elmers Court different, The treatment rooms were also either side of this corridor. I also thought the relaxation room was perfect. My favourite part has most definitely got to be the twinkly ceiling. It made me feel like I was laying under the stars. How magical does that sound?
If you know you’re in need of a getaway, and would like to be stress free, even for just a day, I honestly cannot recommend spending a day at Elmers Court enough. Or even spending an evening or more there. So, if by reading this post i have got you hooked, be sure to check them out on Facebook, or take a peak of any deals online.
When i first started off blogging, never in a million years did i think i would have any of these opportunities, but i wouldn’t have it any other way. I am extremely grateful for being given the chance to enjoy a day at the spa. Thank you so much again to Elmers Court for having me. Both myself and my nan had such a relaxing, peaceful day. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I will be back, for sure!
