On Saturday 3rd June I attended my first event with the Soton Bloggers for some yummy brunch. It was held at Rogues Café which is fairly new in Southampton. It offers a great variety of food and drink from Burgers and Fries to American pancakes.
I started off by getting an orange juice and lemonade as I wasn’t too sure what to eat….fussy eater problems an all! I really liked the sound of their Dirty Bastard Fries which are hot & spicy!!! So I decided on them, which i have to say i loved and would deffo have again, anytime! I also got myself a smoothie which consisted of Strawberry’s, Bananas and Apples.
I absolutely loved how quirky and colourful the surroundings were at Rogues Cafe. It is definitely a café with a lot of character. I couldn’t get enough of it as you can tell! If you’re Instagram obsessed like me, this is definitely the place for you… so many opportunities to snap some great photos. Oh, not to forget the very friendly Percy, the café dog.
I got the chance to meet some new lovely people at the event who I am looking forward to seeing again. It was a great opportunity for us all to connect with each other. I’m actually quite proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and attending as this is something I wouldn’t have done in the past. But I’m so happy I did and I’m extremely excited for next time! Bloggers were also asked to bring any Sanitary products along with them to donate to a volunteer-led campaign that provides to vulnerable people with period protection, a very important cause. All together we dontated around 40 different products which is amazing!
So, to sum it all up, I could not recommend Rogues highly enough!!! The staff were friendly, beautiful quirky surroundings, and yummy food! I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait for next time. We also took a quick Polaroid on my instax mini, which did come out very dark, but never mind! I’ll also add in a few more pictures I took for you all to see how cool and intriguing Rogues is…
I hoped you enjoyed reading about this event. Im sure there are plenty more to come and i cant wait! Have you ever been here before? Let me know about your experience!
