Loving Tan Official – What I Thought

Loving Tan Official – What I Thought

So my mums birthday was quickly approaching which meant we would be going on our annual spa trip which this year for the second time in a row was the Eforea Spa at the Hilton Ageas Bowl. Which I will mention that if you haven’t been, you need to go!

Now if you don’t know me personally, you should know that me, my mum, and my nan are ‘slightly’ spa obsessed and tend to visit one every year together, I mean whats not to love about enjoying a whole stress fee day where you can sizzle in the sauna or take a dip in the pool, chill in the hot tub and receive a relaxing facial? Which I must say left my face feeling like a baby’s bum…

Anyway I seem to be going slightly off topic as this blog post today is about a self tanning brand called lovingtanofficial which if interested you can find on Instagram at ‘@lovingtanofficial’ and check them out. Now I knew I wanted to get myself a tanning product instead of having the usual spray tan as I felt like trying something new and didn’t want to look like a milk bottle. For ages I kept seeing people post about these products so I was extremely excited to try it after seeing all types of result pictures. I always find it better when brands show you real life results, it makes it so much easier for us buyers to be confident in what we are paying for.

I instantly loved the packaging and thought it was super cute how they leave you a little note along with the products. I think the white paper paired with the pink ribbon is simple yet delicate and pretty.

The product I chose was the Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in Ultra Dark. At first I wasn’t too sure which shade to get as I naturally have slight olive skin although my legs are very pale. I didn’t want the tan to be too dark but not too light either. I went with my instinct and got the darkest shade as I could always give it a good scrub when showering the next day.

I was also lucky enough to receive a free self tanning mitt with a discount code I found on Instagram.

With the mousse I received, the instructions were to (exfoliate if want a better finish) and then moisturise particular areas such as the hands, ankles and feet as these are the areas the tan seems to grip more. Once the skin is prepped it’s time to get tanning! By doing so you need to pump the product onto the mitt, and apply in circular motions onto  the skin, blending well. I also watched a video explaining that if you are wanting to apply tan to the face, it is much better to do so with a beauty blender. Once the tanning is done, wait an hour to wipe the face with a baby wipe, aswell as the feet, hands and ankles. Wait 6-8 hours to have a full body wash – which for me was the next day.

I was very silly and completely forgot to take a before picture of my legs…. I did however do a before and after of the wrist/hand whilst holding the product, although the lighting wasn’t great and it doesn’t do the results justice. BUT I hope by seeing this picture you get to see how natural looking this self tan really is. It’s not like a spray tan which sometimes can make you look a little orange, it makes it seem like you’ve been on holiday….I wish! I love how it gives my skin a lovely olive glow.

I did apply the product to my whole body (I know I didn’t apply it high enough on one of my legs) but I was so happy with how it turned out. I’ve still got so much product left in the bottle ready for next time!

If you’re looking for a natural, yet dark tan, I seriously recommend Loving Tan Official! You’ll love it just as much as I do.

Head over to their Instagram @lovingtanofficial and let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂

Have a great day,

Tay x
